NLFC JUNIORS PARTNERSHIPS

WHY YOU SHOULD PARTNER WITH US

Love the New Lambton FC Juniors and really want to do that little bit more to show your support and help the Club succeed?

Be a champion of the Club with an NLFCJ Partnership Package and connect with real people, who live, work and play locally.

We play out of Novocastrian Park on Orchardtown Road, New Lambton, and we are a suburban, grass-roots, community-focussed, not-for-profit local football Club. We have approximately 900 members, 30% of whom are females. We also have a contingent of members who identify as having a disability.

New Lambton FC Juniors has a long history of being a competitive, welcoming, and family-friendly place for people of all ages to enjoy their love of community football.

The support and generosity of partners is vital to community clubs and a partnership with the Juniors provides a fantastic avenue to increase awareness of your company’s products and services within the community whilst supporting local sports and there is no better time than now to partner with the Juniors.

As a partner of the New Lambton FC Juniors you can be assured of maximum exposure as we look to build a pathway to the future. With continued growth in participation across female and male football, now is the time to get your brand recognised in the local community as a preferred business and reach a broad market of new potential customers, whilst creating valuable good-will within your community and also giving back to grassroots football.

NLFC Juniors partnerships are a great way to help the Club raise funds to support our ongoing football programs and for people to come down and enjoy grass-roots football, mixing with other like-minded football fans. Partnerships also allow you to showcase your business to the wider community and at the same time display your support for the Club, players, volunteers and officials.

Our Club is a community Club. We welcome and invite all people within the community from diverse backgrounds (including but not limited to, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians, people with diverse gender identities and sexualities, people from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds, people with disability, and veterans) are welcome. Inclusive design enables everyone to participate equally, confidently and independently in everyday activities.

Novocastrian Park is located in the middle of New Lambton which is a residential suburb located approximately 6 kilometres from Newcastle’s CBD. There are 3,529 families, a population of 13,108 with a median age of 41 years.

NLFCJ partnership packages are a great way to help both the Club raise funds to support its ongoing football programs and for people to come down and enjoy grass-roots football, mixing with other like-minded football fans.

By becoming an offical NLFCJ partner for New Lambton FC Juniors, you cement your support for local football, become an integral part of a community sporting club and make a meaningful contribution to grassroots football.

For the first time in our history, we have tiered grandstand seating in place, which will mean a higher level of comfort and viewing opportunity for our members, their families and friends.

Our Strategic Plan outlines plans for the next 5 years that include increasing female player numbers, equipment procurement and replacement strategies as well as a facility improvement program including the complete rebuild of the outdated infrastructure to include fit-for-purpose and female-friendly facilities.

Our focus is ensuring all members are engaged, supported and encouraged. The Club is committed to working towards Football Australia’s gender equity target of 50% by 2027. This provides a timeline to work towards whilst also aligning with the playing together pillar of FA’s Legacy 2023 document. Our goal is growing the female membership from 30% to 50%.

WHO YOU WILL REACH

Away teams and their spectators / supporters that attend our games come from all over Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter including Cooks Hill, Kotara, Cardiff, Warners Bay, Dudley, Redhead, Maitland and many other metropolitan and regional locations. Many of our own players, parents and carers, officials and spectators come not only from New Lambton, but from those suburbs and areas noted above.

Games are played at Novocastrian Park from April to the end of August each year, across at least 16 weekend rounds, plus finals and participants are on the field from 8:30am each game day, through until late afternoon.

We play approximately 40 games every single week during the season – across both weekend days – when visitors are most active.

Attendance At Novocastrian Park is typically, on game days:

  • Saturdays: 800 – 1,800+ persons
  • Sundays: 600 – 1,200+ persons

We have professionally prepared game day voice over messages, playing each game day. These deliver regular team messages including partner updates.

New Lambton FC Juniors have a Club Facebook page, an Instagram presence as well as a specific Club webpage, and our Stack Sports TeamApp Club page has nearly 2,800 members, with approximately 15,000 views per month.

Like most non-profit organisations, New Lambton FC Juniors is operated solely by volunteers. It is the countless hours of work by the Committee, other volunteers and members that makes our club a success.

As a junior club we have had great success in providing our partners with value and recognition for their sponsorship dollar and we plan to build on this experience by offering the ideal platform to build brand awareness and customer relationships among the local community.

By becoming a partner of the New Lambton FC Juniors we can help grow your business and you can help grow this club as we look to build on the great foundations already in place.

We look forward to having you on board as we build a pathway to the future!

THE BENEFITS OF SUPPORTING ACTIVE LIFESTYLES

Not only does participation in sport contribute to physical and mental health outcomes and valuable social connections, but physical activity (including sport) has been linked to cognitive function and development. Physical activity has been shown to stimulate brain development and is likely to improve academic performance.

Sport isn’t just a good way to keep children’s bodies healthy, but it also has psychological benefits and teaches them important life skills too. Organised sport has many psychological and social benefits for children – even more than the physical activity during play.

Organised, well-structured youth sports and on-going physical activities can provide many benefits for children and adolescents. Positive experiences that sports and an active lifestyle bring play an important role in a young person’s life. Exercise releases chemicals like endorphins and serotonin that improve a participant’s mood. It can also get you out in the world, help to reduce any feelings of loneliness and isolation, and put you in touch with other people.

Sports stand with several other activities (e.g., education, mentoring, religious teaching and volunteering) as a potential factor in influencing positive social development among children and youth. In the other sense, sport – being fun, exciting and entertaining – can divert attention from criminal environments and activities. Sport may also offer its participants structure and a framework and thus divert youth from restlessness.
